PELATIHAN PENGGUNAAN E-LEARNING BERBASIS GOOGLE CLASSROOM BAGI GURU DI SMA N 1 KELUMBAYAN BARAT TANGGAMUS

Abstract

The problem of the weakness of teaching staff in using Information Technology for teaching and learning activities can be found anywhere in Indonesia, including in West Kelumbayan District. With so many benefits, the use of Electronic Learning in the teaching and learning process in high schools is still very low, especially in the Tanggamus Regency area. On the other hand, the use of E-Learning in the teaching and learning process is inversely proportional to the use of social media by teachers and students in high school. This activity aims to introduce the E-learning application based on Google Class Room social media to teachers at SMA N 1 Kelumbayan Barat. Skills in using learning media are expected to simplify the learning process by using Google Class Room media. The method of activities carried out in community service is in the form of lectures, discussions and practice. The training will be carried out over 2 sessions where the first session is more focused on providing information regarding the use of E-Learning, with various application features such as Edmodo, Moodle, Google Class Room and others. In the second session, the training will focus on packaging learning content, carrying out practice and simulating the learning process by utilizing the features available in Google Class Room. Training modules will be provided to participants as a tool for practical activities in the computer laboratory. The output of this activity is a module for using Google Class Room. The results of the evaluation of the implementation of this service show that this mentoring activity is useful for supporting the teaching and learning process carried out at school.
