PELATIHAN PEMBUATAN PUPUK ORGANIK CAIR (POC) GUNA MENINGKATKAN KEPEDULIAN LINGKUNGAN DAN PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DI KULON PROGO YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge about environmentally friendly behavior and marketing, as well as training in making Liquid Organic Fertilizer (POC) products. This service activity was attended by 20 partners from various organizations, namely the management of the Waste Bank, the Farmer Women Group (KWT), the Youth Organization, and the Chairman of the PKK. The location of this training was held at Padukuhan Kopat, RT 02 RW 1, Karangsari Village, Pengasih, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta. The method of implementing activities using community education methods includes socialization, education, and demonstration methods, namely resource persons providing knowledge about environmentally friendly behavior, especially the importance of managing waste, Green Marketing, especially green products and continued with the practice of making POC. Other methods are discussion and question and answer methods, as well as questionnaire methods (pre test and post test), which are to measure the level of understanding of trainees before and after being given material presentation. Based on the results of the pres test or before being given the material, an average score of 8.95 was obtained. The results of the post test or after being given the material have an average score of 9.8. In addition, based on the results of the two pair test, there was a difference before and after the provision of material by 1 percent. This shows that there is a significant increase in the level of knowledge and ability of participants regarding environmentally friendly behavior and the manufacture of POC products.
